Playfindr App
Introduction:
This is my first foray into creating a prototype of an app that my wife and I have been discussing over the years.  It is by no means complete, and I will add to this project as I continue to develop the idea.  This was created using Adobe XD.
Goal:
The goal of the app is to provide user vetted locations of playgrounds and parks when out traveling with children.
The User:
The user is a parent, either out on the road traveling, or looking for new places for their kids to explore safely.  It can be a challenge to find safe, well maintained, playgrounds with a good selection of amenities.  Through user input, this app creates a vetted playground/park list that parents will truly appreciate as they are out traveling.

Features:
Specific features include:
- Rate and review existing playgrounds/parks
- Create new locations for playgrounds and parks
- See galleries created by users of locations
- Based on other present users, being able to tell how busy a location is.
- Highlighting features of location, such as parking, shade, slides, swings, splashpad etc.
- Being able to create playdate groups and arrange meetups*

*An ongoing discussion is whether this feature creates unnecessary complexity, and dilutes the purpose of the app.
Features discussed for addition:
- For longer road trips, being able to create a location A, B, and C, in order to strategically have breaks and stretch out legs and give the little ones a chance to run around.

While google maps will provide information and location on such things, having an app that focuses on this particular issue and provides features catered toward the traveling parent, a better user experience can be achieved.

I am going through this exercise in order to grow my UX design skills.  I look forward to hearing everybody's input as the project progresses.

An updated version, now with some added functionality, and improved user flow
